Omaroo Cottage located in the township of Alonnah, South Bruny Island. 5 minutes walk by the foreshore track to the beach and to Bruny Hotel Restaurant/Pub.

Alonnah is the town with the largest variety of public services and facilities on all of Bruny. It includes a skate park, oval, fully fenced children play area/park, general store that sells basic cooking ingredients and general household needs, pharmacy, post office and a medical centre.  Centrally located a short drive to Bruny Island Premium Wines, the scenic lookout at the Neck, Adventure Bay, Bruny Island Lighthouse, Cloudy Bay Beach and Cloudy Bay Lagoon.

Access to Bruny Island is by Car Ferry that departs from Kettering ferry terminal. The ferry ride takes 15 minutes. Omaroo Cottage is about 30-40 minutes drive from Roberts Point ferry terminal follow Bruny Island main road heading towards Alonnah.
